Before she was elected, Marina served as the Executive Director of SA Digital Connects, an organization focused on addressing the digital divide in San Antonio and Bexar County. In this capacity, Marina focused on implementing the Community’s Digital Plan and partnered with the public sector, private sector, and over 200 community organizations to activate on the issue.
Prior to SA Digital Connects, Marina’s career focused on tech and innovation for Fortune 500 corporations. At Rackspace and USAA she led cross-departmental teams solving complex problems while driving successful business outcomes.
She is also the founding Executive Director of Tech Bloc and successfully advocated for rideshare while increasing membership to over 5,000+ people.
Marina is a San Antonio native and has always used her influence to innovate, change, and drive results that continue to help improve the District 7 community. She has served on the VIA Board of Trustees, the Bexar County Child Welfare Board, the UTSA College of Engineering Advisory Board, and other organizations.
From addressing the stray dog problem to rebuilding our roads and infrastructure, Marina is focused on repairing and preserving the community we all love.
And as a mother of two, Marina knows the importance of building a better future for our children. She wants District 7 to be a place where all children can grow and thrive.
